About Gray Oak Photography, LLC
Gray Oak Photography is based out of Sorrento, Florida. We serve Lake, Marion, Orange, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties. Our primary focus is real estate photography—interior, exterior, and aerial photos for residential, commercial, rental, and undeveloped properties. Our goal is to provide quality images of each home we shoot at an affordable price. Professional photos will guarantee that prospective buyers see the most captivating features of each listing.
The word “Photography” has its origins in the Greek, meaning to “draw with light.” We strive to partner with our clients to produce a photographic story of each listing that will certainly attract the interest of potential buyers. We use professional grade full-frame cameras and lenses that generate wide, brightly lit images. Photoshop and Lightroom programs are used to enhance the finest features of each photo while still preserving realistic images that are faithful to the interiors and exteriors of each property. Photography must be in my genes. I have childhood memories of eagerly anticipating the results as my grandfather developed photos in his basement darkroom. My parents were world travelers who documented their adventures on film and motion pictures, dad with a Bolex movie camera and mom with a battery of Nikons. I’ve always been the unofficial family photographer with stacks of photo albums to show for it. I also enjoy writing and my work (and photos) have been published in several national outdoor magazines. But the photography of my parents’ day is not the photography of today. Cameras have certainly changed from film to digital as has the post-development process. Today’s darkroom is found in Photoshop and Lightroom. I’ve absorbed both of these programs in Adobe’s official training books. Likewise, the Harmon Photo School in Orlando was an outstanding resource for brushing up and I attended three of their month-long courses. Every realtor and potential home buyer knows that aerial photos tell their own story about the property and surrounding area. All Small Unmanned Aircraft System operators are now required to pass the FAA’s 14 CFR Part 107 Airman Knowledge Test to legally fly drones for commercial purposes. I graduated from the online course “Remote Pilot 101” and passed the FAA test in order that Gray Oak Photography can take beautiful drone photos of each property we shoot. Dave Contact me |
